Here is my 3rd challenge for Short Cuts

This is another card that I have made for short cuts
Check out their blog, and you can also order here

This was a clear card that I decorated with Basic Grey PP called Urban Prairie. I cut a strip and used a Martha Stewart boarder punch at the bottom.
The word Friend on the front of the card is a rub on by Flea Market Rub Ons.

When I adhered the PP down I used a piece of yellow ribbon and made a bow.
I then used rub ons by LastingImpressions for the If friends were flowers I'd pick you. I colored the edges of the white card stock with ink.

I used a little Doodlebug jewel for the center of the flower on the rub on.
I added Prima Quick Pick Flowers and again added Doodlebug jewels to the center of the flower.

On the inside of the card I used a yellow piece of card stock by Bazzill, and cut another strip of the Basic Grey paper. I then printed a poem out on white Bazzill card stock and adhered it to the card stock. I also inked the edges on this as well.
The poem reads:

It takes more than caring to be a real friend,
The nature of friendship , requires a blend
Of warmest compassion, and love deep and true,
To reach and to comfort, the way that you do.
Because I can see, that your kind of friendship
is priceless to me.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

I hope to have more done next week so keep checking back with me.

Here is my second challenge for Short Cuts

These are just so cute, and so easy to work with. They are gift card holders, and they come in black, white, cream and a tan color. You alter them for the occassion that you will be giving a gift card for. I altered one for Christmas since that is just right around the corner.
Check out their blog Short Cuts
You can also order here.

I used the white gift card holder.
The pattern paper that I used is the Basic Grey Wassail line, and it was pieces of scrap paper that I had left over from another prject. So take a look at your scraps of paper to see what you can come up with.

The front flower that I have on there is a Bo Bunny holiday flower that I found in my stash that I have probably had for a couple of years.

The tag is a tag by Fancy Pants. They have this cute little bag of little tags out now called Bag O Tags. They come in different shapes, 80 of them total, 2 each of white and craft.

The brad in the middle I changed out, the Bo Bunny flower came with just a plain brad, and I wanted to add a little bling.

I tied the tag onto the brad with some twill that I also had in my stash and cant remember the last time I pulled it out to use it.

I also added ribbon on the side of the card on the front and back.

The inside cover I covered with cream colored bazzill paper and the To: and From: are a Making Memories rub on.

I then used my crop o dile and punched holes in the back and the front so that I could run the twill through and close the gift card holder by tieing it into a bow.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Here is my first challenge

I wanted to share with all of my blogger friends my first challenge that was given to me by Short Cuts for their design team.
You can also ORDER here.

You can click on the pictures if you would like to see closer details.

This is a Holiday card that I made using one of their cards. Its a frosted card and was wonderful to work with. I love the versitility of being able to cover this card with paper, or leave some of it clear. Using rub ons was one of the things that I really wanted to try and as you can tell, it worked out great.

I took white bazzill card stock for the front of the card and the inside front of the card and I used silver glimmer mist to give it some shine. I then used my sewing machine to add a light blue stitch on both sides of the card stock.

I took 2 Maya road snow flake chip boards in different sizes and I painted them with light blue paint. After that dried I also sprayed them with the silver glimmer mist. When that was dry I used light blue and silver stickles to add yet more glimmer to the snowflakes. The center was then finished off with a Doodle Bug Jewel in clear.

I added some Prima Say It in Crystals swirls to the side of the snowflake.

The tag at the bottom is a cute little Fancy Pants tag that I also painted a light blue, and used Doodle Bug tiny letters to make the words happy holidays. I threaded this through a piece of really cool ribbon that I found in my stash.

The snowflakes on the inside of the card are a Quickutz die cut that I have not used forever.....but I knew I had it so I pulled it out.
I painted them the same blue as the tag, and again used stickles and Doodle Bug Jewels.

From our home to yours is a stamp. I used basic white bazzill card stock again, painted the edges and added a Heidi Swap bling frame around it. The white swirls that you see at the top and botton are Basic Grey rub ons....they went on really smooth.

And for the back you get the same affect through this frosted card, and I just stamped Handmade by Carla on the white bazzill card stock.

This was such a fun card for me to work with versus the plain old card stock that I would normally make a card with.

Check out Short Cuts Blog for other fun ideas using their product, you will be amazed at some of the talent that is out there working with their product. I love it and can't wait to show you more as I work and get things made. So keep checking back....I will have some other things to share within the next couple of weeks.

This is a page that I did over the weekend at a crop that I attended. This is for the OLW challange blog that I have not participated in forever. I pulled up their site last week to get some MOJO and idea going for my weekend crop, and decided that I would do a page for this challange. The title says SHHHH LISTEN, the journaling cirle reads:
Little brother, to the music in your heart.
So what do you think?

Scrap trash bags

Well I am here to promote my moms scrap trash bags.
First of all let me just start by saying that I was at a crop a month or so ago, and there was a woman there with this really cute scrap trash bag...I commented on it....looked at it....thought it was adorable....took pictures of it and thought.....
"My mom can totally make these."
My mom is crafty, and she has been making purses out of material for quite some time....
So I showed her the picture that I took of this womans scrap bag...and asked her to try to make one. I had no measurements at all, just a picture of it.
WHOOOO HOOOO I got happy mail yesterday in the mail....she made them and sent them to me in the mail yesterday just in time for my weekend crop this weekend. Aren't they cool?
Interested? Well here are the measurements:
The bag is 12 inches long. The base on the table is 8 inches wide and the straps are 8 inches long.
She can make them in any colors that you want....I currently have the pink and green one.
She charges $25.00 for the bag plus you pay for shipping.
She has a pay pal account and will gladly make you one, or two or three...perfect gifts for those scrap book friends that you have!!!! And with Christmas coming up.....well.....this would be a great gift. Not only for scrap bookers, but what about beaders...or crafty people in general? Its a great bag to hang on your table to put your garbage in....If you are interested you can send me an e-mail at:

Hey.....ITS OUT!!!!!!!!!

Well I got my PICC line out yesterday.....what a relief. I was so dog on tired of that thing.....and going in 3 days a week for iron treatments was just a pain in the you know what. Now I have to go back for blood work 12/1....and on 12/10 I will see the Dr to find out how all of my levels are with iron and whatever else they check for.

And here are the nurses that took care of me all these weeks
