Making Memories Paperie Greenhouse line

Here are a couple of lay outs that I did for the DT at Hannah's. This is a new line that we got in at Hannah's and it's called Paperie Greenhouse. There are a couple of other colors as well that they have come out with, but I took the Green line to work with. These are the two pages that I did using their paper, ribbon, flowers, brads and sticker embellishments. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

I am a guest designer!!!!

http://www.bisous.biz/main.htm

For the month of November and December I am a guest designer for Bisous Bzoo....
I was first introduced to this company at a crop that I was at over a year ago, they carried her papers and chipboard.....I just fell in love with it, its cool and funky and so many designs that really pop......
So I bought some of it....made a page...sent it to the owner just to show her..and she loved it.
She then sent me more papers and chipboard months ago to play with and asked me to be the guest designer for Nov and Dec.
Beginning of this month she had some new releases and sent me a ton of product to work with that is all new.....and I love it all!
Because I was in the hospital and going through a ruff time for a couple of weeks, I was really strapped for time to get done as much as I wanted to get done using her new product, so a couple of the lay outs that she has up on the web site are with some of her older paper lines. But I will continue to work with what she sent me to put in her gallery. Just wanted to share this with everyone....check it out, you may find that you like it as much as I do.

New hair color

So last week I decided to get a hair cut and then I wanted to color my hair. I thought I would go darker and do some type of red in it, and I actually bought highlights which is something new for me too.
Well.......my hiar turned out like WOW! At first I was a little taken back and thought....oh no...its way way too bright. But the more I looked at it the more I thought, ok this is different, this is sassy, why not leave it and see how you feel. Mariah HATES it....she has made no qaulms about telling me that she really does not like it at all. OH well, too bad she will have to deal with it.....
So mom, here it is...you have been wanting to see my new hair color, what do you think?

HAM ANYONE?

Ok, so this past Saturday because my parents were leaving for AZ (they are snow birds) we had a THANKSGIVING dinner.
Our plans were to deep fry a Turkey and a Ham. Now my parents have an outdoor deep fryer and we have done turkey before......and it is VERY VERY yummy!
We have never done a ham before though. My brother has done a ham in his fryer, but he couldnt be at our house to help us......so my mom and dad bought a ham.....and we deep fried it....and our first attempt was quiet commical.........check it out......

OK OK....so its a little charred......just a little.......my dad was bound and determined to find some pink meat on this thing.

My mom was now upset because we had only a 14 pound turkey and she didnt think that it would feed all of us.....so my cousin and Mariah went to the store to get another ham.......
in the mean time....heres dad still trying to find some pink meat on that ham.

Ok....so he didnt get much.......but he did get enough to hold him over until dinner was done...LOL
Here is the turkey

And the Ham that my cousin and Mariah got.....well lets just say that it was a little BIG.............but it turned out great and we have plenty of left overs.

So basically the moral of the story is that you should not buy a spiral ham and deep fry it....it does not work.

PICC LINE

So here is the PICC LINE that I had to have put in me today in order to have IRON injected into my boday 3 times a week for the next 4-5 weeks. Imagine this thing in your arm all that time. And I can not get it wet, so we have to wrap it with something that tape it closed when I take showers.

Update on Hospital situation

I woke up this morning and the arm where all of the IV injections, blood transfusion, iron injections and fluids were given was all swollen and hard and hurt like heck......I kept thinking...OK well just deal with it, you go to the Hospital Monday morning.....let them look at it then.
My mother on the other hand talked me into going to the emergancy room again. So I did.
Well apparently its a good thing that I went, at least that's what the nurse told me in the ER......I have what they call:

Phlebeitis. explanation on the paper work that I got says:
Veins bring blood from your legs and arms back to your heart. When the vein wall is injured or the blood moves too slowly inside the vein, the vein can get irritated.
I have to take an antibiotic and put warm compresses on it. Its really really swollen and sore......I can hardly move my arm.....but once again I will be back on the road to recovery Hopefully.

Tomorrow in the AM I am going back to the hospital for surgery to get a PICC LINE inserted in my body so that I can start my IRON injections...YIPEE....yet another trip to the hospital......!!!!!

Oh well....gotta take care of myself right?

Ok well I will update tomorrow with some pretty funny pictures of our families Thanksgiving that we had this past weekend, so stay tuned!

My Scary expierence

Well.......for those of you that dont know, I just got released out of the hospital Friday.......I was admitted on Wed early afternoon, after being in the hospital on Tuesday all day for a blood tranfusion. My hemiglobin levels were extrememly low.....should be at a 12 and I was at a 4 on Tuesday when they did my first of 5 blood transfusions. This all stemmed from donating blood (plasma) through a company called Lifesouce. Well I have to try and make this a short story because its pretty long and I dont want to bore you with the details. But basically Lifesource screwed up and they should have never taken my blood (plasma) in the first place. Someone apparently read my levels wrong and then they basically drained me of all of the iron that I had in my system and I became extrememly anemic. Life threatening Anemic. To the point where I was told by my Dr's office to get admitted to the emergancy room ASAP and if I didnt have a ride that I needed to call 911 and get there. HELLO! Talk about scary. Well so the bottom line was that because I had the gastric bypass surgery about 5 years ago, my body has not been producing enough iron. Then I donated the blood and they took the iron that I had in my body out. So now I have to have a PICC Line surgically put in on Monday to get iron put back in my body through injections for the next 3-4 weeks 3 times a week. And this will be something that I have to continue for the rest of my life every couple of years. Bottom line here is that I could have died, Lifesource messed up....and now I think that I need to get a lawyer.
Im still feeling weak, and continue to have headaches...but thankfully Im still here.
